SPRINGFIELD – Lincoln Land Community College Women’s Basketball Head Coach Chad Jones has been selected for induction in the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) 2026 Hall of Fame Class for Men/Women Coaches. Inductees will be honored during the IBCA Hall of Fame banquet May 2, 2026, at the CEFCU Arena at Illinois State University.

Jones, also a professor of exercise science at 69����, has been coaching the Loggers since 2001 and has accumulated 427 career victories. Earlier this year he was named the IBCA Women’s NJCAA Division II Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season. He has also earned recognition twice as the NJCAA Central District Coach of the Year and Mid-West Athletic Conference Coach of the Year and NJCAA Region 24 Coach of the Year.

Selection for the IBCA Hall of Fame signifies the highest level of recognition for a career marked by leadership and significant contributions to Illinois basketball. Under Jones guidance, the Loggers finished last season with a school record of 34 wins and three losses, capturing the Mid-West Athletic Conference Championship, the NJCAA Region 24 Tournament title and the NJCAA Central District Championship.
